Established over 20 years ago, Options for Animals is the oldest and most experienced animal chiropractic institution in the world. We are devoted entirely to providing preeminent, comprehensive and cutting-edge educational experiences in integrative animal health care; focusing primarily on animal chiropractic.

As the field of animal chiropractic evolves, many doctors are stimulated by the intellectual challenges it presents; and an ever increasing number of those doctors are attracted to Options for Animals interdisciplinary approach at meeting those challenges. Our style bestows a modern, progressive methodology to education; all while maintaining our commitment to the foundational principles of our past. Established by Dr. Sharon Willoughby in 1988, and based on a philosophy that integrates the veterinary and chiropractic professions, Options for Animals remains dedicated to ensuring that chiropractic has its place in the animal health care system. This epitomizes Options’ mission to maximize the health and well-being of our animal companions.

Our main campus is now situated on 10 acres of scenic farmland in Wellsville, Kansas; conveniently located 35 miles southwest of Kansas City, MO. It remains the only campus in the world built exclusively for the purpose of providing continuing education in integrative animal health care to veterinarians and chiropractors. All classroom and laboratory instruction is suitably provided on the premises.

Over the last decade, there has been a tremendous transformation and expansion at Options, and we’ve grown into an intercontinental teaching institution. Our curricula are now taught at affiliate campuses in Sittensen, Germany and at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England. As all courses are taught in English, we can now provide our students with a broader opportunity to travel while advancing and developing their education. Additionally, we’re promoting and providing research, including recent collaborations with the International Academy for Veterinary Chiropractic in Germany and the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.

With over 2000 graduates, practicing in 28 countries on 6 continents, our curricula remain the most accepted and far-reaching courses in the world. Our graduates develop techniques and critical thinking skills to improve their awareness, broaden their insights, and prepare them for a rewarding future as leaders in the animal chiropractic profession.

As animal chiropractic grows, so will Options for Animals. We are committed to continual evaluation and improvement of our educational format to reflect the changing needs of students in the world community. We support our students in developing inter-professional bonds in which individuals work together in mutual respect and support of animal chiropractic... All for our animals!
